The apartment is light, airy, quiet, and comfortable, a newly refurbished property over two floors (900 square feet) on the first and second (top) floor of a purpose-built 1970s, three-story building with a view from the balcony over pretty Notting Hill painted houses. The exterior of the building is not impressive, but the interior is quite the opposite. Please note there is no lift, there are 3 small sets of 8 stairs. It's a three-minute walk to the bustling Portobello Road and plenty of great restaurants and cafés. The nearest small supermarkets for essentials are a 3-minute walk away. The entry floor level of the apartment has two bedrooms, one with full-size single bunk beds and a desk and the other with a full-size single bed, and 2 full-size bunk beds so 5 singles altogether on the entry-level. This room has the option to remove a bed and have a desk instead for home working. There's a separate shower room with a shower, hand basin and a WC on this floor. The bright and airy top floor has an open living, dining, and kitchen space; it has a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful long farmhouse kitchen table. There's a state of the art Samsung flat-screen TV with Netflix plus many other channels. Notting Hill is safe, full of small, tree lined streets with beautiful period buildings painted in pastel colours, combined with areas of social housing giving the area a cosmopolitan and varied atmosphere. The restaurants are amazing (we have The Ledbury which is a Michelin 2*) amongst many others and Portobello market on Saturday is fabulous. It's a great place for families as you're so close to the royal parks and museums and the good public transport means little legs don't have to walk too far. For those that are members of Soho house there is The Electric on Portobello Road and White City House which is 2 stops away from Ladbroke Grove station. The area is very safe to walk around day and night and has a very 'villagy' feel, evrything you need is within walking distance and the options for food / grocery shopping are amazing. We have a fabulous butcher, (Provenance), 2 fishmongers, (Notting Hill Fish and Meat shop), a premium deli (Daylesford Organic), Gails bakery and of course all the vegetable stalls that operate daily on the Portobello road which have first class fruit and vegetables.Bicycle hire is just around the cornerThe transport links into central London are great both by Underground and bus.
