Surrounded by water on all sides, it’s not an actual island; there is a narrow strip of land connecting to the mainland. The ‘island’ is also known for its stunning views of the Rotterdam skyline and features characterized historic buildings, old warehouses, and cobblestone streets. Many of these buildings have been repurposed into trendy apartments, studios, restaurants, and cafes, giving the area a vibrant and artistic atmosphere.
