*Buitendijke is the district outside the dike: the old IJsselmeerdijk. Within walking distance of the village center with its centuries-old leafy Brink, the shops, restaurants and terraces in the Dorpsstraat and the IJsselmeer beach.
In the 1980s, about 500 homes were built here. With or without a dog you can walk along the old IJsselmeer dike and along the IJsselmeer beach. In Buitendijke you will find a nursery, after-school care, playgroup and a primary school. Just outside the district is "De Rijver". Built as a gymnasium for the school, but you can practice all kinds of sports, such as yoga, bridge, chess and/or table tennis. There will also be meeting rooms and there will be a WMO desk (including facilities for the elderly and disabled) and a private playroom for the teenagers. Music association G.A. Heinze also makes music here.

Muiderberg was a simple farming village on the Zuiderzee coast around 1900. Thanks to the Gooische steam tram, Muiderberg was easily accessible from Amsterdam. There is a bus connection to the railway station Naarden-Bussum and Weesp.
You can enjoy cycling, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, sailing, surfing and kiting in and around Muiderberg. There is also room for tennis, hockey and football. In "De Rijver" there are numerous indoor sports facilities.
