Hello Future Roommate,We, Lianne (34) and Irene (38), are looking for a new roommate in our rooming house in the Wandelmeent. A little about ourselves: Irene is constantly working on creative projects, loves playing games with neighbors, is a storyteller, studied biology and works as a technical teaching assistant at a secondary school. Lianne works in youth care and in the cultivation and processing of fruit and vegetables. We are looking for someone we both get along with. We are also looking for someone who wants to participate socially in street life. Our house is divided into 3 rooms, a shared kitchen/living room, shower and toilet, there is also a large backyard and a small front garden. Your room is on the 1st floor on the south side, overlooking the backyard. We have washing machines and dryers that we share with other neighbors in a large shed where you can also store a bicycle. The Wandelmeent is a street within the Centraal Wonen project. This means that we are in contact with our neighbors a lot and share many facilities. Everyone in the street can use a café (the luye gat), a sports room (the luye sweat), a sauna (the bare hole), a DIY room (the coarse hob) and guest rooms. The motto of our street is to do together what can be done together, which means that fun activities are organized in the street, that we easily share things, that we meet together if necessary and that we clean the luye gat once every few months and do a few coffee shifts with a fixed group of neighbors. You are also expected to contribute to the street in your own way, for example by sitting on a committee or on a board. More information can be found on the website of the wandelmeent. The wandelmeent is located in the Hilversumse meent cauliflower district, next to Bussum. Naarden-Bussum and Bussum-Zuid stations can both be reached within fifteen minutes by bike. There is a bus station at the beginning of the street that leaves every hour for Naarden-Bussum or Hilversum station. From the stations you can reach Utrecht and Amsterdam within half an hour. Furthermore, you live in the middle of the green, you can take a short walk in the Bantambos, at the Bussum heath or at the Naardermeer.
