The Earl’s Court/Gloucester Road neighbourhood, a district within the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, is famous for its fantastic transport links, picturesque, quiet suburban streets and central location. Only a short walk from the heart of Earl’s Court is Exhibition Road, where you’ll find the famous Natural History Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), the Science Museum, and the iconic Royal Albert Hall, making the area a cultural haven. If you’re looking for a calm and quiet refuge away from the bustle of central London, Brompton Cemetery (a short walk from Earl’s Court) is eerily beautiful and is the final resting places of famous Londoners such as the suffrage activist Emmeline Pankhurst. There are also some fantastic restaurants and cafes to enjoy. The Troubadour restaurant is a local favorite for live music and definitely worth visiting when in town. The cafe/bar there is open and serves food all day. Tendido Cero and Cambio de Tercio are sister restaurants on opposite sides of the Old Brompton Road, which serve sublime Spanish specialities. The Bombay Brasserie in Gloucester Road is a renowned and highly-rated Indian restaurant with a skylit conservatory. Very good food and also worth visit. For a traditional pub, try the Hereford Arms on Gloucester Road with its great range of beers and film poster decor. Alternatively, head to the The Hansom Cab for a good range of beers and expensive but delicious bar snacks, including lobster nachos. The closest underground stop a short 4 minute walk and is Earl's Court, which services the Circle, District and Picadilly lines.
