Located in the heart of the famous fishing village of Mumbles in South Wales, you can walk down the lane and be on the thoroughfare in a minute! Blow the cobwebs away on Gower's famous coastal path, award winning beaches and to top it off enjoy the local attractions Mumbles village offers. The space We have lovingly decorated our home maintaining many original features making it the perfect base to enjoy your relaxing getaway in Mumbles. The main living area is open plan to the modern, fully equipped kitchen, with electric oven/hob and microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Upstairs we have a comfortable double bedroom and just off the lower landing is a sunny, twin room. Both rooms boast stunning sea views. The twin room has a unique porthole with views right across the bay. Outside we have our favourite feature, generous two tiered decking space overlooking the whole of Swansea Bay and Oystermouth Castle. We provide free Wi-Fi to our guests. Please ensure when using the stairs inside to mind your head and ensure children are supervised at all times (both inside and outside) We offer hotel standard linen and towels which are replaced after each stay. The property is set up to offer remote access with easy self check in meaning that no direct contact with anyone is needed. We also offer a 24/7 guest support should you need any assistance during your stay. Guest access There is limited free parking at the top of the lane. The nearest car park is Oystermouth Car Park - 180m. Parking is £6 per day, from 8am through 9pm, then free overnight. Please download the MiPermit app or pay via the car park meters. Please note the cottage is located on a very picturesque, but steep, one way lane leading down to the seafront. There is no parking outside but guests can drive down the lane ,stopping outside briefly to unload. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. With this in mind the stairs inside the property are also fairly steep and not suitable for those with mobility issues. Other things to note Unfortunately we don't allow pets. Strictly No smoking or parties. Please could we ask to remove outdoor shoes on carpeted areas. Do not leave food or rubbish outside. Respect our home and neighbors. Supermarkets A short walk along the seafront to Oystermouth. Local Restaurants Numerous, quality fine dining and family friendly, affordable restaurants, bars, bistros, coffee shops and famous ice-cream parlours. Various take-away options including crepes, fresh sea food, fish and chips , Indian and Chinese along the sea front at the bottom of the lane. Local Attractions There are great beaches within walking distance and further afield around the Gower Peninsula. Nearby Swansea has all the city amenities and attractions expected of a large town. There is a regular bus and taxi service available or a safe and easily accessible seafront pedestrian path and cycle lane which sweeps around the bay into the Marina at Swansea. More locally, there is the historic Oystermouth Castle, the Mumbles Lighthouse at Bracelet Bay as well as the beautiful Victorian Pier boasting family amusements, restaurants and a working life-boat station. Enjoy the ?Cafe culture? and ?Mediterranean vibe? along the seafront promenade, literally on the doorstep. Trains High Street Swansea Buses A two minute walk away at the end of the lane.
